FAQ

Practical questions before a project begins.

What types of construction projects does Fairbairn take on?

The focus is considered residential work across Greater Sydney, including renovations, additions, architectural projects, remedial work and rectification. Suitability depends on scope, location, timing and the project team.

When should I speak with Fairbairn about consulting?

The most useful time is before making a major commitment: while a design is developing, after DA approval, before tendering, or before appointing a builder.

Is consulting the same as quantity surveying?

No. Fairbairn provides practical building advice informed by construction experience. It is not quantity surveying, certification, financial advice or a guaranteed construction price.

Can Fairbairn review plans before DA?

Early practical input may be available depending on the project. The exact Pre-DA scope is being formalised, so contact Graham to discuss what decisions need support.

What should I send with an enquiry?

Start with the suburb, project stage, a short scope summary and any plans or approvals already available. File upload can be arranged after the initial conversation.

Does Fairbairn work with architects and designers?

Yes. Fairbairn has experience collaborating with architects and designers and can contribute practical buildability and delivery observations.
